be forewarned they are quickly becoming one of the hottest new contemporary jazz
acts to come onto the scene in some time. The have created a major buzz on the
national circuit over the past year. Their irresistible blend of Funk, R&B,
Jazz and Latin influences is what keeps them in popular demand.
FORTÉ is a San Francisco
based band that tours nationally and performs at local events on a regular basis.
They have shared the same stage and opened for many national artists that include
Chris Botti, Mindi Abir, Gerald Albright, George Duke, Boney James, Chaka Kan,
Chuck Mangione, Joe Sample, Peabo Bryson, Jeff Lorber, Peter White, Jeff Golub,
KEM, Earl Klugh, Pete Escovedo, Marion Meadows, Norman Brown, Pancho Sanchez
and the list goes on.
FORTÉ features many top
musicians including Tom Politzer (Tower of Power), Dave Stone (Strokeland, Cold
Blood) Ron Stallings (Huey Lewis and the News, The Temptations, Gladys Night)
Sonya Jason (Sheila E., Joyce Cooling, Narada Michael Walden) Napoleon Brock
(Frank Zappa), Vince Lars (Janet Jackson, Tony, Toni, Eric Benet, Boz Scaggs)
and Robin Duhe (Frankie Beverly and Maze) The original members in the band include
Glen Peterson-Pianist, Bernard Badilla-Guitarist, Joe Baribeau-Drummer and Andius
Jent-Bassist. All are highly regarded and seasoned Bay Area musicians.
